The Quebec Shortsea Shipping Council was created in 2004 to help promote and develop short sea shipping services in Québec and eastern North America.
Coordinated by SLS, the Council brings together ship owners and operators, port stakeholders, stevedoring, logistics and road transport companies and representatives from Transports Québec and Transport Canada.
The Council meets regularly to discuss topical issues. It organizes networking events, conducts studies, issues recommendations and implements informational and promotional strategies.
